JOB PURPOSE:

Support the Technical Procurement Manager in both project/CAPEX and operational technical procurement activities across Beta Glass operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in procurement execution for CAPEX and expansion projects, including furnace expansions, furnace rebuilds, plant upgrades, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate RFQs, technical and commercial bid evaluations, purchase order placement, and supplier follow-up for machinery, equipment, spare parts, and technical services.
  • Expedite suppliers to ensure manufacturing, documentation, inspection, shipment, and delivery milestones are achieved in line with project schedules.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Treasury, Logistics, Technical Stores, and Plant teams to ensure seamless procurement execution.
  • Prepare and consolidate procurement and CAPEX reports, highlighting project status, key milestones, risks, delays, and outstanding actions.
  • Participate in plant/site visits and project meetings to understand technical requirements and follow up on procurement-related actions.
  • Maintain procurement and project trackers, monitor key milestones, and provide periodic status updates to support timely project execution.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, or a related field.


       THE PERSON MUST HAVE:

  • Technical procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment


EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience. 
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
