We are seeking an experienced Global Test Developer to lead the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of world-class assessment products. This role combines psychometric expertise, applied research, data analysis, and AI-powered assessment development to create reliable, valid, and innovative testing solutions for clients across multiple industries.
Job Summary
The Global Test Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality assessments that meet internationally recognised psychometric standards. The successful candidate will leverage research, statistical analysis, historical assessment data, and responsible AI tools to create assessments that are scientifically sound, commercially valuable, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate, and maintain psychometric assessments aligned with international best practices.
- Create new assessment content and enhance existing test batteries across multiple competency areas.
- Analyse candidate response data using psychometric methods to evaluate item quality, reliability, validity, and fairness.
- Utilise AI tools to accelerate assessment development while ensuring rigorous human review and psychometric validation.
- Manage and continuously improve the organisation's assessment item bank through documentation, version control, and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct research into emerging trends in assessment science, psychometrics, and AI to support product innovation.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, and external subject matter experts in developing new assessment solutions.
- Monitor assessment performance and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Prepare technical reports and present research findings to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, ethical, and data protection standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline (minimum Second Class Upper).
- 4–7 years of experience in psychometric test development, assessment design, applied research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or SPSS.
Desirable Skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:
- Classical Test Theory (CTT)
- Item Response Theory (IRT)
- Python, R, or SQL
- Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
- Online Proctoring Technologies
- Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT)
- Practical use of Generative AI tools for research or assessment development
