Job Summary
The Graduate Engineer Trainee will undergo an intensive training program covering production operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities management, troubleshooting, process optimization, quality systems, safety standards, and engineering project execution within a modern FMCG manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will gain practical experience working with production machinery, utilities, automation systems, and engineering teams across the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in structured engineering and operations training programs
- Learn the operation and maintenance of production and packaging machines
- Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical faults
- Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities
- Participate in continuous improvement and efficiency projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Prepare technical and operational reports
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation/Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit preferred.
- 0–2 years post-graduation experience.
- NYSC completed or currently serving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and shifts where required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for engineering and manufacturing operations
