Job purpose
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient operation of electrical components of production equipment.
Responsibilities
•Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting installations.
•Diagnose electrical faults and equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
•Read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
•Safely shut down machines by strictly following approved switch off and lockout procedures.
•Ensure machines are properly cleaned after operations, including the toggle base platform.
•Inspect hydraulic hoses, joints, and fittings to identify and address leakages.
•Monitor machinery for lubrication oil leaks and report or correct issues promptly.
•Ensure barrel heaters and related components are functioning correctly and efficiently.
•Adhere to all safety, quality, and maintenance standards within the work environment
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
•1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
•Ability to use Microsoft Suites - excel, words and power point
•Good communication oral/written and report writing skills
